Natural Born Killers is a wild ride through media obsession and violence. Stone really goes for broke with his frenetic editing and bold visuals, creating this chaotic, almost surreal atmosphere. The performances from Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis are raw and unsettling, capturing that twisted romance amidst the mayhem. The practical effects are pretty gruesome but effective, and the satire on media sensationalism still feels relevant. The pacing is a bit all over the place, but that’s part of its charm – it’s like you’re along for the manic journey rather than watching a straightforward narrative. Definitely one of those films that sticks with you, even if you’re not sure how you feel about it at the end.
