So, NEBULOUS, right? It’s got that classic 80's horror vibe mixed with some of those 90's teen drama elements, which is kind of a weird combo but it works in this short film. The pacing feels just right, like it knows when to ramp up the tension and when to throw in a bit of levity. The practical effects here are a nice nod to the old school, really adds to the atmosphere. The performances vary - some of the teens are pretty earnest, while others lean into the parody. It feels like a love letter to the genre, but not in a way that takes itself too seriously. You can tell the filmmakers really had fun with it.
