So, 'Neighborhood Oppas' kind of dives into the complexities of teen relationships and the pressure of academic success. Hee-joo, this high school girl, really gets a kick out of her tutor, which pushes her to hit the books harder. Then there's Yeon-soo, her best friend, who feels left out and reacts in a pretty harsh way, involving her brothers and some nasty rumors. The pacing feels a bit erratic at times, but it captures that whirlwind of emotions teens go through. The performances are pretty earnest, though not exactly groundbreaking. It’s interesting how the film portrays friendship and jealousy against a backdrop of academic stress, making it somewhat relatable, even if it doesn’t tread new ground.
