Neither Seen, Nor Known is this odd blend of comedy and drama that pulls you in with its quirky tone. Mursi, played by Adel Imam, is this down-on-his-luck history teacher, and you really feel his plight. The pacing has its moments of sharp humor, but it dives into darker themes too, especially with the character of Salwa, who’s running a pretty grim side hustle. There's this uncomfortable tension as naiveté meets exploitation, and it really makes you think, though it's all wrapped in this unusual comedic package. The performances are solid, particularly Imam's, who balances the absurdity with genuine emotion. The atmosphere feels almost surreal at times, making it a distinctive piece in the realm of 80s cinema.
Adel Imam's performance stands out.Interesting take on serious themes.A mix of humor and discomfort.
