So, 'Night of the Kings' is this interesting piece that dives deep into the chaotic life inside an Ivorian prison, La Maca. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially with that red moon looming overhead. You really feel the weight of tradition as the new guy gets thrown into the role of 'Roman'—a storyteller, which is both a privilege and a curse. The pacing is quite unique; it ebbs and flows with the narratives he spins, drawing you in and holding you captive. The performances are raw and visceral; you really sense the desperation and camaraderie among the inmates. It has this almost mythical quality, where storytelling becomes a means of survival. Definitely something different in the prison genre.
