Nightmare Cinema is an intriguing blend of anthology horror directed by Ryuhei Kitamura. The film's tone is consistently dark, with a strong sense of atmosphere crafted through practical effects and unsettling visuals. Each segment offers a different take on fear, drawing on the characters’ personal traumas, which gives it a more psychological edge than your typical horror flick. The Projectionist, played with a haunting presence, really ties the narratives together. There's a nice mix of homage to classic horror tropes while keeping things fresh and unpredictable. The pacing can feel a bit uneven, but it kind of adds to that disorienting feeling – you're never sure what’s coming next, and that's part of its unsettling charm.
