Nightmare Side has a really intriguing premise, pulling stories from a local radio show. The film does a solid job of creating a creepy atmosphere, especially in those claustrophobic settings like campus labs and old movie theaters. The pacing is a bit uneven, but I think it adds to the tension. The practical effects are pretty decent for an indie flick, which helps ground the supernatural elements. You can feel the local flavor in the performances, too—there's a rawness that kind of works in their favor. It doesn't always hit the mark, but that's part of its charm. It’s a slice of regional horror that feels unique in its storytelling approach.
