So, Nine 1/2 Minutes is kind of this interesting little exploration of how a relationship can evolve—well, devolve—really quickly. You’ve got a couple who meet on a blind date, and the film captures their journey through those initial sparks of attraction, right up until the inevitable boredom and breakup, all packed into just over nine minutes. The pacing is brisk, almost frenetic at times, which I guess mirrors the chaotic nature of modern dating. It's more of a character study than anything else, with a kind of rawness to the performances that feels honest. The practical effects are minimal because it’s so dialogue-driven, but it does a great job of showcasing those fleeting moments, turning the mundane into something noteworthy.
