Nobody Gets Out Alive is an interesting entry in the indie horror scene of the early 2010s. It’s gritty and raw, which gives it an edge that's often missing in more polished films. The pacing is tight, keeping that tension high as the college students unravel, trapped in a nightmarish situation. There's a sense of claustrophobia throughout, enhancing the dread. The practical effects, while not over the top, feel real and visceral, grounding the horror in a way that CGI sometimes fails to do. The performances range from decent to surprisingly compelling, with the characters’ troubled backgrounds adding layers to their fight for survival. It has this unsettling atmosphere, as if the walls are closing in on them, and you can’t help but feel for their plight, even as they make questionable choices.
