The practical effects, while not always polished, have a raw, unsettling quality that adds to the horror. The performances, though varied, manage to capture that desperation of the characters in such a surreal situation. It’s that mix of eerie visuals and unsettling themes about humanity’s darker impulses that really makes it stand out in the horror genre. Definitely something unconventional.
