So, 'Not Out' is this interesting drama that dives into the world of high school baseball and the pressures that come with it. Gwang-ho, the main guy, faces this crushing disappointment when he doesn't get picked by a pro team, and you really feel that weight. The film captures the awkwardness of teenage relationships really well, as his desperation to stay in the game starts to drive a wedge between him and his friends. I found the pacing to be a bit slow at times, but it works for the build-up of tension. The scenes of him and Min-cheol selling fake gasoline add a strange, almost darkly comedic twist that sets it apart from typical sports dramas. The performances are quite raw and authentic, which gives it an edge.
