Now & Then (2021) has a rather unique setup. Just two guys on an apartment roof, having a chat that gets increasingly awkward. The humor is more subtle, almost cringeworthy at times, which gives it a very real feel. Pacing leans into these prolonged pauses that make you feel the tension building. The performances are raw, grounded, not overly polished, which I think adds to the charm. There’s a nice blend of comedic timing and genuine emotion that runs through it. It's distinct in the way it captures those everyday moments that can be both mundane and profound, really reflecting on relationships and how they evolve. Definitely a conversation starter, if you know what I mean.
