Now You See Me is an interesting blend of heist film and magic show, directed by Louis Leterrier. The pacing zips along, keeping you engaged with clever twists and a bit of a cat-and-mouse vibe between the illusionists and law enforcement. The performances, particularly from the ensemble cast, bring a lively energy; you can feel the chemistry among them. The practical effects used in some of the tricks are surprisingly effective, giving a real sense of wonder amidst the crime elements. The film plays with themes of trust and deception, which adds an intriguing layer to the spectacle. It’s not without its flaws, but it's certainly distinct in how it combines those heist tropes with a theatrical flair.
