Nowhere is an intriguing short that slices through the surface of societal norms. Set against the backdrop of a conservative Pakistani environment, it follows Pakhi as she trails her husband, revealing secrets that challenge her world. The atmosphere is thick with tension; you really feel the weight of her discoveries. The pacingādeliberate, almost contemplativeāallows the viewer to soak in her internal struggle. The performances are raw, especially in how they convey the spectrum of emotions without needing grand gestures. What I find distinctive is how it navigates themes of identity and repression in such a compact runtime. Definitely a film that lingers in your mind after the credits roll.
