Ocean's Twelve is quite a shift from its predecessor, tonally speaking. It's got this European flair, almost heist-on-the-run vibe that feels different, but in a good way. The pacing is a bit more languid, with Soderbergh letting scenes breathe. You see the crew's dynamics shift—there's a lot of banter and character interplay, especially with Julia Roberts playing a version of herself. The practical effects and locations, shot across Europe, add a unique texture. There’s a playfulness here, almost self-aware, that makes it distinctive, but some might prefer the tight heist angle of the first. Still, it has its moments, especially with that score weaving through the scenes.
