Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus The Movie has a unique charm, blending animation with a dark, surreal atmosphere. You see Abe, our reluctant hero, dive back into a world filled with danger and corporate greed. The pacing is a bit uneven, but it captures that feeling of urgency from the game. The visuals are a fascinating mix of modified game cutscenes and some new footage, which gives it a distinct look - at times almost dreamlike. Themes of liberation and exploitation are woven throughout, giving it more depth than you'd expect for a short film. It’s interesting to see how they adapted the narrative, and while the performances are mostly vocal, they really convey the essence of Abe’s quest. You can feel that underlying tension and humor, even if it's not the longest watch.
