So, Off Beat is this quirky little comedy from 1986 directed by Michael Dinner. The vibe is laid-back yet filled with these silly moments that keep you grinning. The pacing has a nice rhythm, almost like it’s skating through scenes just like Joe does in the library. The chemistry between the cast is palpable, especially between Joe and the female officer, which adds this sweet layer.
