Oh Dad II is this intriguing piece of animation that really stands apart, you know? The sand-and-chain technique gives it a raw texture, almost like it’s trying to connect with the viewer on a tactile level. The young writer at the center of it all adds this layer of existential dread – he’s grappling with the state of the world, which is surprisingly heavy for a family flick. The pacing has this dreamy quality, allowing you to sink into the visuals while reflecting on the themes of creativity and responsibility. The performances, even though animated, feel genuine and add to the overall atmosphere. It’s a curious film that doesn't quite fit into traditional molds, and that's what keeps me coming back to it.
