Old School is a pretty solid comedy from Todd Phillips, capturing that early 2000s vibe well. The film is all about three middle-aged guys trying to relive their college days, which is a theme that resonates, albeit with a lot of raunchy humor. The pacing is brisk, moving from one outrageous set piece to another, and there's a certain charm in the absurdity of it all. Will Ferrell is especially memorable here; his performance is just the right mix of ridiculous and endearing. There's a blend of practical effects and physical comedy that feels refreshing compared to more CGI-heavy stuff today. It’s not subtle, but that’s part of its appeal. Definitely an interesting snapshot of a specific comedic style.
