Old Street is one of those films that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll. The atmosphere is thick with tension, aided by its sparse setting—an almost deserted underground car park. Ken, our protagonist, feels like a lost soul, and the pacing really drives that sense of isolation home. As he grapples with a malfunctioning pay machine and a voice that seems to come out of nowhere, it’s hard not to feel the mounting dread, the claustrophobia. The practical effects are minimal yet effective, enhancing the surreal experience. The performances, particularly from the voice actor, bring an unsettling quality to the narrative. It's a film that plays on existential fears, a solid blend of psychological tension and drama that feels distinctly personal.
