So, 'Oldmen Never Die' is this curious little thriller from 2013 that really hooks you in with its moody atmosphere. Ji-hoon, our lead, is stuck in this farm life for years, all for his grandfather's wealth. But he’s fit as a fiddle and decides to take a break in Seoul, which doesn’t last long. The pacing is interesting – it builds tension as he grapples with returning home. When he meets that unexpected guest, things take a darker turn, and the film plays with themes of family obligation versus personal freedom. The performances are pretty solid, too, especially Ji-hoon's internal conflict. It has that raw edge with practical effects that give it a grounded feel. Not your run-of-the-mill thriller, for sure.
Unique take on familial obligation.Interesting character development.Pacing builds tension effectively.
