On the Line is a tense little gem that really dives into the psyche of a radio host pushed to his limits. The atmosphere is thick with dread, and it keeps you on your toes as the stakes escalate. Boulanger does a solid job of balancing the drama with thriller elements; you can feel the weight of the protagonist's desperation as he juggles the threat to his family with the very public nature of his job. The pacing is tight, and some moments are genuinely unnerving. The performances, especially from the lead, are raw and compelling. It's the kind of film that makes you ponder the moral gray areas of desperation and the lengths one might go to protect loved ones, all wrapped in a claustrophobic setting. Definitely has a unique flavor in the thriller genre.
