Otona Najimi is this quiet little exploration of friendship and unspoken love. You’ve got Aoyama Haru and Kagaya Kaede, who’ve been inseparable since childhood. At 24, their lives are still intertwined, living right next to each other. The pacing feels very natural, letting moments linger just long enough for that tension to build. Kaede’s been carrying these feelings for years, and it’s almost painful to watch her navigate that while Haru remains blissfully unaware. It’s a mix of comedy and drama that feels very genuine. The performances are pretty solid, especially in those small, intimate scenes that really capture their history. The film has this cozy atmosphere, making you feel like you’re part of their world. Really worth a look.
