Parallel College is one of those quirky gems from the early '90s that blends comedy with a bit of drama. The film follows Ananthan, who takes up teaching as a way to escape his past. It has this warm, almost nostalgic vibe, with a fairly simple plot that blossoms when he meets Sridevi, whose character injects a kind of life into the story that you just can't ignore. The pacing has its moments of lag, but it allows for some nice character development. The performances, especially from the leads, really shine, bringing an authenticity that's often missed in more polished productions. There’s an interesting interplay of humor and heart that makes it distinct, making you think about second chances and new beginnings.
