So, 'Paranoia' is one of those films that really plays with the tension between trust and instinct. You’ve got this young woman who, after a pretty decent first date, decides to let this stranger crash at her place. It’s interesting because the atmosphere is thick with dread, and you can almost feel her internal conflict. The pacing is pretty tight, never quite letting you settle in, which I think really works for a thriller. And while the director is still unknown, the performances are sincere, almost raw. There's also a nice touch of practical effects that add a layer of realism. It’s a film that kind of lingers with you, making you question your own instincts about trust.
