Ford delivers a raw performance, making Ryan feel both relatable and flawed. The pacing shifts between quieter moments of family life and intense encounters with the IRA. The practical effects hold up well, giving a sense of realism that CGI often lacks. It's gritty and perhaps a little too heavy on the dialogue for some, but that adds depth to the narrative.
