Peas & Whiskers is a curious little gem from 1986 that really captures the essence of indecision. Directed by Gösta Ekman, the film balances a lighthearted comedy tone with some genuinely contemplative moments. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, which oddly mirrors the protagonist Claes-Henrik's struggles. The performances are charming, especially Ekman's portrayal of the 40-year-old caught between his mother and girlfriend. The practical effects are modest but fitting, lending a quirky authenticity to the film’s atmosphere. It's a unique exploration of relationships and personal choice, and while it doesn't break any new ground, it offers a refreshing take on the complexities of adult life. Definitely worth a watch if you're into offbeat comedies.
