Police Academy 6: City Under Siege is a notable installment in the series, directed by Peter Bonerz. The film carries that familiar wacky charm, as the beloved misfit officers come together to tackle a gang that’s robbing banks and jewelry stores. The pacing is light and breezy, filled with slapstick humor and those classic ensemble moments. You get to see their unique talents shine, albeit with a heavy dose of luck guiding them. The performances are always entertaining, especially knowing the characters so well by this point. Practical effects are used sparingly, but they do add a tangible feel to the chaos. It's a fun watch, not taking itself too seriously, embodying that late '80s comedy vibe with plenty of laughs.
