Poliisin poika is a quirky blend of comedy and crime, playing out in a rather lighthearted yet chaotic atmosphere. The film follows Trampas, a petty criminal who's freshly out of prison, diving back into schemes with his girlfriend's simpleminded brother, Lepsu. Their motley crew also includes a pregnant girlfriend and Jusse, a Rwandan refugee, which adds an interesting dynamic. The pacing is a bit erratic, reflecting the characters’ impulsive nature. Performances are solid, each bringing a distinct flair to their roles, especially the interactions among the characters. It’s the kind of film that leaves you pondering about the various shades of morality and the absurdity of their lives, wrapped in a comedic tone that almost feels like a caper gone awry.
