Porches. Being Alone is this raw, intimate documentary that really captures the essence of indie music life on the road. It’s not slick or overproduced, which I think works in its favor. The pacing is a bit languid, but that gives it room to breathe, to let you soak in the moments they share with newfound friends who offer them shelter and meals. There’s an authenticity in their performances and interactions that feels genuine, like you’re right there with them.
