So, 'Primitive War' is an interesting blend, set in the Vietnam War but with a twist that really caught my attention. It dives into the whole recon unit vibe, complete with tension and paranoia, then throws in dinosaurs, which feels oddly fresh. The practical effects are pretty impressive; it’s nice to see less reliance on CGI, giving some real weight to the action scenes. The pacing, while it drags a bit in the middle, ramps up nicely towards the end, delivering some solid moments of both horror and action. Performances are decent, not groundbreaking, but they fit well within this chaotic scenario. It’s definitely a film that doesn’t follow the usual war film conventions, and that’s what makes it stand out.
