Primrose Hill is this interesting little gem from 2007 that really captures that feeling of nostalgia and disillusionment. Set on Christmas Eve in a Paris suburb, it follows Stéphane, Joëlle, Xavier, and Sonia – all around 25 – as they wander through a park filled with memories. The dialogue feels so natural, and the exploration of themes like lost ambitions and the weight of adulthood is pretty evocative. The pacing is leisurely, which allows you to really soak in the atmosphere. Plus, there's this rawness to the performances that makes it quite distinctive. It’s not flashy, but it’s definitely got a certain charm that makes you think about where you've been and where you’re headed.
