Private Resort is a light-hearted romp that captures the carefree spirit of the 80s. Directed by George Bowers, it follows two teenage buddies, Ben and Jack, as they chase after women during a weekend at a Miami resort. The film's pacing is breezy, with a blend of slapstick humor and situational comedy that keeps things moving along. The atmosphere is definitely playful, almost like a time capsule of youthful exuberance and naïveté. You also get a glimpse of practical effects, like the goofy mishaps that ensue when our protagonists clash with a criminal element. Performances are, well, fittingly over-the-top, especially from the supporting cast, adding to that distinctive charm that makes the film what it is.
