Purusha Lakshanam is a fascinating blend of youthful romance and the darker shades of jealousy. Abhirami, with her vibrant spirit, falls for Nandagopal, who seems to embody success and stability. But it’s Raja, her classmate, who adds that tension – his jealousy is palpable and almost suffocating. The pacing has this nice ebb and flow; moments of carefree love are juxtaposed with Raja's increasingly desperate attempts to interfere. It's intriguing how the film explores class and ambition through personal relationships. The performances do leave an impact, especially how Raja’s character unfolds, revealing the complexities of love and possessiveness. The practical effects are minimal, but it’s really the human emotions that take center stage, making for a poignant, if sometimes uncomfortable, watch.
