So, Quack! (2025) is an interesting piece in the animation landscape. It kicks off with this giant egg that sort of appears out of nowhere, right by the stream where these two small forest spirits are hanging out. The vibe is whimsical, but there's an underlying sense of adventure that feels refreshing. The pacing is pretty relaxed, allowing the characters to breathe and develop. The themes of family and friendship come through, especially as the spirits team up with the duckling to find its mom. Visually, it has this hand-drawn charm that contrasts nicely with more polished CGI. The performances, while mostly vocal, have this earnestness that I found quite engaging. Overall, it captures a unique atmosphere that feels both cozy and adventurous.
