Quiet as a Mouse is an interesting piece, definitely not your average comedy-drama. Directed by Marcus Mittermeier, it has this raw, almost observational feel to it, like you're peeking into someone’s life through a keyhole. The pacing is a bit unconventional, allowing the absurdities of the protagonist’s attempts at enforcing his own bizarre sense of order to unfold naturally. It's a bit quirky, with moments that really highlight the awkwardness of human interaction. The performances are quite grounded, almost resembling a mix of documentary-style authenticity with scripted dialogue, which makes it distinct. The themes of law and personal boundaries are explored in a satirical manner, offering a unique lens on societal norms, especially from a German perspective.
