Rancour is quite an intriguing piece, isn't it? The atmosphere is thick with tension as Chelo, this not-so-famous singer, finds herself back in the mix of things she thought she'd left behind. The pacing meanders a bit, which might not suit everyone's taste, but it allows for those heavy moments, you know? The performances, especially Chelo's struggle with her past, give the film a raw edge. The themes of revenge and the weight of history seep through every interaction, especially with Toni. It's not flashy, but it’s got that understated grit that can really resonate. Plus, the use of the Valencian beach as a backdrop adds this strange juxtaposition of beauty and underlying darkness.
