Ravenstein is one of those indie horror flicks that really leans into atmosphere. The abandoned worksite setting is almost a character itself, filled with this eerie tension. David and Marky, the leads, have a chemistry that feels genuine, which adds to the dread as they explore. The pacing is pretty tight, keeping that sense of unease throughout. Then there's the bird man—an unsettling design, and the practical effects are surprisingly effective for a lower-budget film. The way the film plays with themes of friendship and survival under duress is interesting too. It's not groundbreaking, but there's something compelling about its rawness that sticks with you after the credits roll.
