Neusa Sueli's portrayal of the prostitute is haunting, while Vado as the gigolo adds a layer of complexity to the dynamic. Veludo, the homosexual character, brings in another perspective that’s both poignant and revealing. The pacing is deliberate, allowing viewers to dwell in the uncomfortable yet intriguing atmosphere that permeates the film. Not a lot of glitz here, just gritty realism and deep character studies.
