The pacing is deliberate, allowing the dread to build up as Scott navigates through this surreal audition process. Practical effects are used effectively; there’s a rawness that you don’t often find in bigger productions. The performances feel genuine, too, especially when Scott starts to confront his own fears. There’s a meta aspect that adds layers to the storytelling, which I found pretty compelling.
