Reflection (2007) is a curious blend of action and sci-fi that leans heavily into a psychological thriller vibe. You've got Nadine, played by Lisa Sookhiram, who gets pulled into this other realm via a mirror, and what we see is her reflection— but not quite. The changes in her behavior are striking; she becomes this dangerously sexualized version of herself that really disturbs those around her. James Kautz's portrayal of Eric adds another layer, especially given his background in kickboxing. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it serves the eerie atmosphere well, and the practical effects, while not groundbreaking, do add a tangible quality to the surreal premise. It's definitely an interesting conversation starter in indie circles.
