‘Relic 3’ dives deeper into the Sanko-time concept, which is quite fascinating if you’re into time perception and how it interacts with memory. The film's atmosphere is haunting yet introspective, with landscapes that almost feel alive, echoing the internal struggles of the characters. While the pacing can be a bit erratic, it complements the themes of displacement and identity. Practical effects are used sparingly but effectively, enhancing the surreal moments without overshadowing the narrative. There’s a certain weight to the performances, especially in how the characters grapple with their pasts. It’s something of a tapestry, really, interweaving different elements of performance and visual storytelling. Definitely a unique piece in its project landscape.
