Riddle Room is one of those films that seems to be a slow burn but really gets under your skin. The atmosphere is intensely claustrophobic, which mirrors Emily's mental state as she tries to piece together her shattered reality. The production has a minimalist vibe that works well with the practical effects, enhancing the sense of dread without relying too much on CGI. The pacing is deliberate, allowing tension to build as Emily uncovers details about her captivity and her own identity. It plays with themes of memory and survival in a very personal way. The performance by the lead is raw and emotional, which makes you root for her even more as the plot twists unfold. It’s not your typical horror; more psychological, really. Definitely has its own vibe.
