Roach is this grim little indie horror flick that dives deep into the psyche of a guy named Ronald, or Ro as his friends call him. He's hit rock bottom—jobless, wife gone, just a shell of who he used to be. The film captures this bleak atmosphere really well, almost suffocating at times. There's a rawness to the performances that pulls you into his despair. Practical effects are minimal but effective; they enhance the unsettling vibe without overshadowing the story. The pacing is a bit uneven in spots, but it builds tension nicely, leading to an unsettling climax. It’s one of those films that sticks with you, not for flashy moments, but for how it makes you feel. Definitely a distinctive take on the horror genre.
