Robo-G is an interesting blend of comedy and drama, where three engineers are in a real bind trying to get this robot to function for a science show. They end up hiring a guy to actually step inside the robot, which makes for some pretty funny situations. The pacing has its ups and downs, but the quirky atmosphere makes it enjoyable. There's this underlying theme about innovation, responsibility, and the lengths people go to in their careers. The practical effects aren't groundbreaking, but they lend a certain charm to the film. The performances, especially from the lead who plays the human in the robot, have a rawness that adds to the whole experience. It's not your typical robot movie, that's for sure.
