RokSaw has this raw edge that you don’t see often in modern horror. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially as those college students venture into the woods. The pacing is pretty tight, keeping the dread alive until the cult, 'The Lamb', shows up. This group is unsettling, and their methods are downright brutal. What strikes me is the practical effects; they really give the violence a visceral feel that CGI often lacks. The performances are solid, capturing that mix of youthful naivety and panic as things spiral out of control. There's a certain griminess to the film that makes it distinctive, like it doesn’t hold back from what it sets out to do. It’s a bit rough around the edges but that adds to its charm.
