Running Funny is one of those indie dramas that doesn't shy away from the awkwardness of post-college life. You really get a sense of the struggle Michael and Eddie face—those moments of desperation mixed with gallows humor. The dynamic with Stan, the blind war veteran, adds a unique layer; he’s cantankerous but somehow becomes a mentor figure, albeit begrudgingly. The pacing can feel a bit uneven at times, which might throw some viewers off, but it reflects their chaotic lives. There's a gritty realism here, no flashy effects or grand gestures, just genuine performances that resonate. The film captures that bittersweet transition into adulthood with such raw honesty. It’s definitely one that lingers in your mind after you finish it.
