Salem Falls has this interesting, moody vibe. It’s set in a small town where everyone knows each other, and that tight-knit atmosphere adds a lot to the tension. The pacing is deliberate, letting you really sink into the characters’ struggles. James Van Der Beek gives a solid performance as the lead, bringing depth to a guy with a past trying to find peace but facing suspicion and fear. The themes of judgment and community hysteria are pretty relevant, which keeps it engaging. I appreciate how the film doesn’t lean too heavily on special effects; it’s more about the human element and the darker aspects of small-town life. Definitely a unique take on the witch hunt trope.
