So, Samurai Hustle is this really amusing take on a historical setting during the Tokugawa shogunate. The story's about Masaatsu Naito, who's kind of thrown into chaos with this Sankin-kotai order that he has to manage in just five days. It’s a mix of comedy and history that feels surprisingly fresh. The pacing is pretty brisk, which keeps the energy up, and the performances really nail the blend of humor and the serious undertone of samurai culture. There’s this fun absurdity in the situations that Naito finds himself in. The practical effects work pretty well for the time, and the costumes are just delightful. Definitely has a unique charm you don't see often.
