Savage Religions is quite the visual spectacle. Imagine thirty artists from eleven countries pouring their creativity into an animated hellscape, inspired by those devotion pictures in the La Major cathedral. The mix of styles? Absurd, chaotic, and very much like Art Brut. It's fascinating really, how the ugly and the blasphemous come together to create something that feels anarchic, challenging traditional animation norms. The pacing is erratic, which adds to the overall unsettling atmosphere. You don't watch this for a linear narrative or polished graphics; it's all about the raw expression and the themes that poke at the darker sides of faith and existence. Definitely a different kind of animation experience.
